I love Mexico for a few different reasons.
-First, obviously the warm ocean and the smell of salt water mixed with carne asada cooking.
-Second, the vendors trying to sell way over priced "fakes" and then being able to talk them down to half of the original price.
-Third, the sweet braids with beads that Ryah loves to get.
-Fourth, the food, the lime and the bottled coca cola.
Well last weekend for Joe's birthday we went to Rocky Point with the Caldwells and had so much fun. It's really only a little bit scary.(haha) Big deal there are 17 year old kids with machine guns in hand, and a random kid walking down the highway with a big machete knife. These thing all come with the get-a-way to Mexico. Oh and did I mention the flash flood we had to go through to get there and home? We were able to get through the water filled streets on the way there but, coming back we had to hire a guy to pull us across on his flat bed. He wanted $80 and we gave him $20....see what I mean. Only in Mexico...
We did stay at an amazing hotel. The Las Polomas, it was so nice, it included a lazy river, a slide for the kids, a huge hot tub, a swim up bar, a kid pool and a few regular pools. But seriously who goes to mexico without their camera...(me) lame. So sorry. it was awesome though.
I hope Joe had an amazing birthday. On Monday his actual birthday we went out and got a load of wood, had a fire and went spotlighting. We have a super boring life...
