Halloween pictures

Halloween was super fun this year, we had our ward trunk or treat/chili cook off and jess and darrel came with us. After the party we watched a movie and ate lots of candy:) Ryah was a zebra, joe was wolverine, i was a pregnant vampire, and jess and darrel were the swine flu.. it was such a great costume. Joe told me to post pictuers and quiet writing about boring stuff like deer heads and bob cats in the freezer... sooo here you go. Pictures!

creepy mom.

The cute swine flu couple...there costume was by far the most
creative.

The gang all together.. i'm really creeping myself out here.

Joe grew this beard out forever! It go so nasty long, so he decided to do something with it for halloween...and then he shaved it for church the next day! I must say he is one handsome man.

ryah enjoying the chili.

Ryah and her best friend camryn

Ryah and her zebra fro.

Now these pictures have there own story.
Mitch went as "peeping tom" for halloween.
here are some pictures of joe, mitch, and camryn builing his costume..
it was so so funny...

its become a real problem

Dear pet owners. Mostly cat owners.

We have set up a trap in our yard. (call it red neck, but it's been fun)

-If your cat poops in our flower bed one more time...it's going to the pound.
-If your cat lays on our door mat one more time and gets it all hairy and nasty...going to the pound.
-If it pees on our door step one more time...pound.

Thanks,
The Denhalters

Joe never ceases to amaze me.
i know...my blog is slowly turning into "my husband joe".

but.

He never ever complains.

What would he have to complain about right?

He has a super awesome wife, who does everything right...
A really huge, always clean house...
A perfectly good truck whose tires never fall off...with great AC...
a really good cook to prepare is food...
super easy job...

haha... this list makes me giggle!

Really though, he never complains.
And I was thinking to myself today, I always complain...
I am sorry Joe. I will do better. I will...
The sad part is that my complaints are retarded...

You know its bad when you start to annoy yourself.

So here is to a "try really hard not to complain" new me.

love you jo jo

i am a helpless...

when i read, i read to enjoy the book...
who doesn't?
so why should i change the type of books i read if they make me feel good?

i am indeed a helpless romantic.

Joe told me i need to start reading books with real life everyday happenings in them. (to learn more)
I don't want to.

I get enough real life everyday.
reading is my escape.
a peaceful place. a romantic love story. (in my case of books)

i like cheesy. i like obvious stories. i like love.
whats wrong with that Joe?
i think you like that i like love:)

so i will continue to keep reading my romantic love stories...
and i will continue to keep my head in the clouds.
because i love love.
and because my books remind me of this.

and this...

the love in my own life.

r.r.r.random

i know i know. i know.
i havn't posted anything in a while because i have been extremely busy!
busy having fun
last last weekend we went to lake powell and had a great time with my family and sweet little Ryah. She loved the water and loved the sand. It was fun to see her love the lake so much. Joe was able to fish, wake board, tube, and swim with his lovely wife. :) I was able to knee board.( a personal favorite) wake board, and swim with my lovely husband. I was a little worried about the little one growing inside me so i took it very easy and didn't try anything tricky. I don't have any pictures because my camera ran out of battries.. soo sorry, but look at Krista's blog or Tarrah's blog if you want pictures. It was so nice to see aunt kim and her family, uncle steve, g-ma and g-pa montgomery, my cousin jermey, and shauna and her family, whom I never ever get to see, so it was so nice to see them.

and so this last weekend, we went to Las Vegas.
Joe got invited to go play in a flag football tournament...so we decided to do it.
Get all the fun in while we can right?
So we packed up and left Friday morning Ryah, Joe and I...
checked into our hotel and then went on our way to the field Joe was playing at.

ANYWAY...Joe played awesome, he is amazing.
butttttt his team- mates... had a rough time
PROBABLY because they were all hung over and stayed up all night/morning gambling.
lame-o
those ding dims.

double elimination, they lost out the first two games, the QB never showed, and it was just a mess.
Poor Joe played so hard, and his team was all losers and gave up. oh well. we had the rest of the weekend to relax and enjoy stinky vegas.

Yeah we weren't the biggest fans. We stayed in our hotel most of the time because it was hot outside, and when we did go outside we went to the strip and everyone was dressed all nasty and the streets smelt funny and naughty pictures everywhere. and poor ryah so innocent i felt so bad stolling her along. but we did have fun. The best part was an indoor swap meet we found... haha we talked to some crazy people there and had fun.

of course joe makes everything fun. so it all ended up being a great trip. i wouldn't exactly take my family there ever agian, but we made the best of what we could. anyway we are home now, loving it.

Then yesterday we went to Krista's house for Sunday dinner. It was delicious! Thanks Kris you da b omb. so Here is a pic Krista took for me and sent my way. ENJOY.

If i were a deer head, I would want to be ridden

this girl here. is her daddy's daughter.

She la la la loves this deer head for some weird reason.
We took her to bass pro and she loved all the heads and animals and wanted to give them kisses.
soooo joe decides to come home and put up his deer head.
when he took it down(from storage) she instantly climbed on the head and started "riding" it. (pic 1)
Then as he put it up she got so sad. (pic 2)
Joe then, being the good dad he is, lifts her up to see it and she starts giving it kisses! (pic 3)
She doesn't even give joe and i kisses.

she is an animal lover. . .
a sweet sweet animal lover.

it seems like she would be scared of it? guess not.

anyway.... some other good news.
-Joe got to feel the baby last night for the first time.
it was so exciting!

-Ryah has been walking for some time now, but yes...shes walking
-Ryah is also completely off bottles! YAY!! (she did really well)

-I am starting to get a belly, and big boobs..(very uncomfortable)
-Tomorrow we are off to Lake Powell
and

-I am 19 weeks Pregnant Today!

g is for giddy girls

!

its been a lovely two years

two years ago...

now...

two years ago i married this handsome man. he is truly my best friend and full time lover.
am i not the luckiest?
last night we stayed up going through my journal, reading over our first phone conversation, date, kiss, and the the funny things we said to each other. Joe and I had a funny beginning...and is lasting in bliss.
complete bliss.
Not a day has gone by where i haven't loved joe more, kissed him just as many times, and wished he was home with me completely when he is on a trip.
One thing I love about joe is you can't be mad at him. he...is...impossible to be mad at.
he does this thing...where he apologizes and hugs and kisses me, and i simply cannot be mad.
there are so many reasons to deeply love him. and i think anyone who knows him loves him. he is an instant friend.
We celebrated our 2 year anniversary by going to a movie, then the mall, then savers, then to get Thai food.
Kate thank you for watching Ryah!
After Thai food we came home ate chocolate covered strawberries, and toasted with sparkling cider to a wonderful two years and our growing family.
and after that....we celebrated together.
what a better way?

happy second sweetheart!

i didn't know i married a cowboy

Joe was the star of the flake rodeo...He may not have won the keg race, but he and his team won the grocery race. He fell off his horse in the keg race..(thats why he didn't win) haha it was so entertaining! We had such a great time celebrating pioneer day with parades, BBQs, family, swimming, rodeos, fireworks, and lots of golfing. Oh how i love our pioneers!
we miss snowflake so bad. we can't wait for the day to be there!

poor pittiful puss

Ryah is a little clumsy.
kind of like her mom.
She bent down to pick up keys and whacked her eye on the side board of our bed.
I was curling my hair when i heard the wicked scream. I immediately ran to her and she gave me a big hug and I didn't notice anything until she turned her head the other way and blood was dripping down her face. It was bleeding so much.. I was so scared. I thought she was going to go blind. (maybe over reacting just a little) So I called Joe a million times and of course he never answered. (he later called me back) So I decided to take her into her pediatrician.. because I couldn't get it to stop bleeding. When I got there all the nurses were like WOAH, what happend..(it looked alot worse then it was).. anyway, they had some medical glue and glued that baby shut.

and thats how Ryah got her first shiner.

furious

Everyone has there neighborhood, neighbor, HOA and so forth of problems right?

That one thing that really really really gets under your skin and makes you want to scream.

Just makes you want to kill...

Sure I've gotten my car broke into 3 times, but hey...Thats ok, I'm over it..
but its these stupid cats that are driving me c.r.a.z.y.
they poop in my flower bed...then to make matters worse, they bury it so I can't find it!
then to top it off, they go ahead and pee on my door.

If I wanted a cat to poop and pee right where my daughter plays, I WOULD GET A CAT!
but the one and only animal that i really can't stand is a cat.
I have never ever liked cats.
my friends and I always wanted to cut off their whiskers and
tape there paws to make them off balance.
I HATE THEM. (sorry cat lovers)

SO what am i to do ?
Last night I got Joe's deer cam out. (it takes pictures when there is movement)
We already know whos cats they are..(won't mention names)
but i just wanted to get a picture of the pesky little things.
I wasn't sure if it would work or not, but sure enough. we got one!

PROOF.

Doesn't it look like the devil who just got done taking a poop in my flower bed?
I see quiet the resemblance...

now its time to work out a deal with the owner.
either we catch them and take them to the pound..
OR
Get your cats a freakin litter box and set it by your own flippen door!

See how mad i am?
furious.

just a reminder...

The past few weeks it seems like all the lessons are on prayer, whether it be individual, family, or even where and when. One thing I found on someones blog that I really enjoyed reading and something that is SO true is this quote here.

For you married couples, if for some reason there seems to be too much contention on your relationship, try putting God first by kneeling together each night and praying. President Monson promised that as we heed that council “I can then assure you that any misunderstanding that develops during the day will vanish as you pray. You simply can’t pray together and retain any but the best of feeling toward one another.”We could go on and on, but the point is that God can and wants to bless us, but those blessings only come contingent upon eternal laws. The simple way to think about it is: “When we put God first in our lives, all other things fall into their proper place or drop out of our lives.”

what a privilege it is to have the opportunity to pray...

happy 1st sweet ryah jane.

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Dear miss ryah jane.
Your daddy and I love you so very much, we are so glad you have come into our home. You make life so fun and entertaining. Each time I'm with you I feel the love my savior has for me. You bring the spirit into our home each and every day .
It was so scary when I was in labor with you. We couldn't get your heart beating, and the nurses were frantic. We have been truly been blessed to have you in our lives Ryah...even just for the one year you have been here.
Everyone loves you so much and everyone always says what a cute little baby you are.
I will be pushing you in a grocery cart and you will be saying hi to everyone. HI, HI, HI... And the people just stop and smile at you and say hi back, that's when you get all smiley, sweet and bashful. Other words you can say are bye, ball, mama, dada, hot, light, baba, dog ruff ruff, you can skuak like a chicken and for food you say ffff fff fff... You can't walk yet, but you are getting close. You walk around when no one is looking, but when you get an audiance you get shy. You've takin your first steps and are quiet good at standing up and taking a few steps before you get over excited and fall down. But we are in no hurry for you to walk... Your elephant crawl is quiet amuzing and most people get a kick out of it.
Your favorite things to do are crawl up and down the stairs.
And when someone lays down, you love to crawl back and forth over their tummy like a jungle gym.
You love to dance! Greatest entertainment..
You also love to play peek-a-boo. You don't quiet hit your eyes, but i guess one and on your ear and one hand on your forhead will do...
You are a very healthy eater...you actually love fruits, vegetables and whole wheat bread. (we'll see how long that lasts).
Water is your forte, you can play in water all day and be happy.
And you are definatly an outdoors baby, everytime the door opens you make a mad dash to get outside.
For your first birthday we hotdogs and cupcakes.
we went swimming.
we opened presents.
mom and dad spent extra time with you.
sang songs and danced.
played with camryn...

it was a fun day little miss...
We love you so much and hope you had a happy 1st birthday!
love always.
mom and dad

We are home...

In the past six days, Joe and I have had quiet the adventure. We had been thinking for a while that we wanted to drive up the coast to Oregon and see Bekah (joes sister).
and we did.
a 20 hour drive seemed to turn in to a 25 hour drive.
We took the coast line, which was soo beautiful as you can see, but it took us like 8 hours to do 250 miles.
The roads slowly unraveled as we drove through the loops and whirls.
Ryah did really well, she laughed and giggled and watched monsters Inc., slept, ate played pick-a-boo.. she is awesome.
after driving about 11 hours we stopped.
The first night we planned to camp, but of course our brand new air up mattress had a hole in it.
so we got a motel 6. small but somewhere to sleep.
The second day we crossed over the Golden Gate bridge, drove the most beautiful coast line, went through the red wood forest, stoped to have a picnic and played with Ryah, tried to catch blue jay birds, stopped at some more parks, ate and slept. Poor Joe drove almost the whole time, he did amazing. I love him so much.
after a long day and night of driving the second day we finnally arrived at Bekah's house at 3 in the morning.
We slept in...
and while we were there...
we played
went for a bike ride,
ate delicious food cooked by Bekah.
Played a game called Dominion a lot of times.(we loved it)
went to the creek to catch salamanders with Brynley.
played with sweet aveyns chubby cheeks.
visited Uncle Randy, Aunt Christy, DJ, and Lindsay.
went to thee Tillamook Cheese factory..ate ice cream and cheese:)
saw where the gooneys was filmed.
ate real indian food that Bekah cooked for her indian neighbors. (SOOO GOOD)
went to the library
Rode the Max to visit down town Oregon which also happend to be gay rights festival day.
We got lucky there...
Ate at a really cute dough nut shop called COCO's
watched Ryah learn how to climb up and down the stairs.
visited the Oregon temple which was so beautiful!
Ate at the cheesecake factory
And enjoyed every single car/trolly ride.
it was beautiful there and the weather was perfect.
We were sad to be leaving.
Luckily Bekah, Bryn and Avey decided to come with us.
We loved having there company with us in the car.
It was a little crazy and hectic, but we made it.
The drive home we went up through washington, back down through oregon, through Idaho, through Utah, and after 16 hours of driving we stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Denhalter in Parawon.
That was so nice. They are the sweetest people you will ever meet. They are so good and thoughtful. We were also sad to leave there.
The last 9 hour stretch felt so fast compared to the day before. But we made it home and it feels so nice to be home.
Lots of laundry, but I don't care.
Ryah is happy to be home and walking around.
Climbing the stairs and napping in her own bed.
Joe and I were really impressed with how all the little ones did on the trip.

Bekah was kind of hard to deal with though...She is really mean and yells alot.
hahahaha Jk.
Bekah was so easy to travel with. we were glad to have you Bek!
anyway here are some pictures we took. Our battery died after the first day there, so These are all the pictures i have. Uncle Randy is sending us some soon too.
Thank you Rays for the fun stay at your house! We love you!!
and Thank you babe for the fun drive and talking me into it.
I am so glad we did it, and you made it so so so fun!
I love you so much!

nice pic by joe.

Red wood forest, these trees were HUGE!
Joe looks little compared to this.
Deer across the street from the Ocean. Of course we had to stop...for you know who
Ryah and joe happy to be out of the car on a beautiful pic nic.
Ryah finding stairs to climb up and down.

This little black tail deer was litterally this clost to us. (Laura do thise little antlers look familiar? A little bigger then the ones you got:))
This is the coast line we drove for 8 hours! sooo pretty
Golden gate bridge.
